  • What happens when my Gecko Traxx tyres are worn out?
    It’s so good to know your set of Gecko Traxx has gone the distance with you in your adventures! That’s not the end of their life though. We have a recycling program for Gecko Traxx tyres where we will give you a 20% discount on a new pair in exchange for your used pair. Every set of worn-out Gecko Traxx can be broken down and be reused into other products instead of going into landfill. This program is designed to protect our great outdoors and want to do our bit to ensure our natural environments will always be there for you to enjoy. This philosophy is deeply rooted in our design and manufacturing considerations.
  • How durable are Gecko Traxx?
    We have designed Gecko Traxx to be as durable as possible, and we have certainly put them to the test! We have tested them for over 400,000 cycles on a range of different surfaces. See some of our behind the scenes testing here:
  • Where can I find my nearest dealer?

  • When will there be other tyre sizes available?
    At this stage, Gecko Traxx tyres are only available in 24" and 25” tyre sizes. We aim to create different sizes of the Gecko Traxx tyre in the near future. If you want to be the first to know when we release a new tyre size, send us a message here.
  • Will Gecko Traxx tyres fit my wheelchair?
    Gecko Traxx tyres have been designed to fit as many wheelchairs as possible without the need for modification. However, there is two important consideration to assess your chair for suitability: Brakes Certain types of brakes can interfere with Gecko Traxx, such as Push/Pull brakes. Gecko Traxx works best with scissor lock brakes, compact wheel lock brakes and wheel hub lock brakes as demonstrated in the images below: Wheel Size Gecko Traxx is currently available for two size wheels of 24” and 25”. If you’re unsure or need help to know if they fit your wheelchair, don’t hesitate to get in contact with us via phone or email.
  • Do any shops stock Gecko Traxx?
    Not yet, but stay tuned. We have some exciting new partnerships and stockists we will announce soon!
  • How much easier does it make moving on sand?
    Sand is arguably the toughest terrain for wheelchairs, and Gecko Traxx is made to tackle it! While there will still be a bit of effort to push along sand even with Gecko Traxx on, they’ve been proven to reduce strain by at least 50% and more importantly, Gecko Traxx ensure you won’t sink into the sand. It’s the difference between being able to push through sand and not with a set of Gecko Traxx. You can compare them to a set of large wide wheels, but portable, lightweight and won’t cut your hands. We recommend complimenting a set of Gecko Traxx with a front-wheel attachment to lift off the front casters such as a Free Wheel or an Out Front wheel by GTK.
  • What is your refund policy?
    We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
  • What are the delivery times?
    Orders are usually dispatched within 2 business days .We endeavor to get your order to you ASAP. Once your order has been dispatched, delivery time will be subject to the delivery service selected but depending on location it is 2-7 days. Domestic Post: Please allow 2-5 working days to arrive. Standard Shipping Cost $20.00 International Post: Please allow 1-2 weeks to arrive after being shipped. Occasionally, if the parcel is held in customs for whatever reason, it can take up to 4 weeks. Standard International Delivery: $40.00
  • How long will it take to recieve my Gecko Traxx tyres?
    We ship out within 2-3 business days after recieving your order. Shipping times then generally take 3-5 business days. If you require them sooner, please let us know and we can organise for express postage.
  • How can I track my orders?
    Once you have made a purchase, a confirmation email will be sent to your nominated address with the receipt and information of when you should receive your new Gecko Traxx for your next adventure! All orders delivered within Australia automatically have tracking. If your order has not arrived please contact our customer service department for assistance of tracking at info@geckotraxx.com.au International orders are sent with Standard Airmail service. This service comes with tracking and your tracking number will be sent to you once it has been posted. If we are requested to make alternative shipping arrangements we cannot guarantee tracking and will not be responsible for the delivery of orders sent internationally.   • Is Gecko Traxx suitable for other terrains other than sand?
    Yes they are. If you’re into winter adventures with snow, Gecko Traxx works just the same in snow as it would for sand.
  • What is your return policy?
    We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, you can contact us at info@geckotraxx.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as for instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. You can always contact us for any return question at info@geckotraxx.com.
  • What happens if I change my mind?
    We are so confident that you will love your Gecko Traxx tyres and the types of adventures that they will take you on. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If they don't live up to your expectations and you would like to return them, we will gladly help you out if you tell us what you didn't like about them so that we can be constantly improving.
  • What happens if my delivery has been lost or damaged?
    We take such matters very seriously and will look into individual cases thoroughly and will do our best to resolve any issues. Gecko Traxx tyres are extremely tough and durable, however, in the unlikely event that they are damaged, we will promptly replace them for you provided you return the damaged tyres in their original packaging. (We will cover all shipping costs associated with this kind of return.) In the event of lost mail, we will try to locate the package through our courier, and if there's a clear indication that your order is indeed lost, we'll re-send the order to you at no cost, no questions asked.
  • Can I use my NDIS funding for Gecko Traxx?
    Yes you certainly can! You have two options: Consumables Gecko Traxx is classified as a consumable like that of a wheelchair tyre. If you are self-managed, simply purchase the item online and claim back the purchase in your MyGov portal. If you're plan managed, request an invoice from us to be sent off to your plan manager. Assistive Technology Gecko Traxx also falls under low-cost, low-risk assistive technology. If you are self-managed, simply purchase the item online and claim back the purchase in your NDIS MyGov portal. If you're plan managed, request an invoice from us to be sent off to your plan manager.
